Here are a few dates for your diaries - more information will be provided closer to the time.

Junior Inter-Regional Championships Report

JIRC 2007 Individual Day JIRC 2007 Individual Day

Well done to all those juniors who came up to Yorkshire last weekend to run in the Championships.

Everybody did well, and there were some outstanding runs from several juniors. As a small region, we may not always be able to win, but we can certainly compete with the best of them.

Well done everybody - I hope you all enjoyed the event.

Junior Inter-Regional Championship results

Opening ceremonyThe region came 10th overall, with the girls' team coming 6th and the boys' team 12th. This was a very good performance for a small region like ours. Individual highlights were a win by Lizzie Adams on W18 and a 5th and 7th place by Anne and Kitty on W16. In fact, SCOA won the W16 course! In the relays, the second place in the Ad-hoc team and the sixth place in the girls relay were great with some excellent runs by Adele and Anne contributing to the girls' result. Full results are available online.

Thank you to all the juniors who gave up a weekend to come and also to Roger for coming along to support, drive and coach. The two SCOA cups for best male and female results at the JIRCs went to Daniel for solid performances on both days and Lizzie for a well-deserved win on W18. Congratulations to them both!
